A Little About Me

I'm a Sheffield girl - a brunette with the Sartorialist, It's Nice That & The Guardian in my bookmarks bar. I found photography by falling into an assisting job with a wedding photographer many moons ago & went on to study it, first on a foundation course & then progressed to achieve a First Class honours degree at the Manchester School of Art. Here I fell helplessly in love with creating fashion images for magazines such as Oh Comely Magazine , Supplementaire & Stella, the Sunday Telegraph supplement. I've worked in marketing, advertising & have provided imagery for musicians, designers & a gajillion other uses. By saying YES to different things (why not?!) I came full circle & landed here in weddings again. Only this time it's different; I'm shooting with experience, knowledge & confidence under my belt & even more importantly with a passion for what I'm shooting.

To see what I get up to outside of weddings have a look at my personal website here.

I thoroughly enjoy being able to apply my varied skills, experience & unique way of working to something that is full of smiles & heart-swelling emotions - so much so that I decided I should make it my full time career.
Weddings make me feel as though I'm cheating at life; my couples trust me to be creative, to think a little differently & to deliver my version of their day as naturally & as beautifully as I can, because that is the only way I know how. To put it quite simply; I feel like I've come home. Working in the arts has introduced me to so many new people, places & ways of thinking - I go to life drawing classes, take on projects with design friends and run to the hills as often as I can. Work isn't like work, it's more accurate to call it 'play.'

My wedding work has featured on/in:
Brides Up North, Love My Dress, Rock My Wedding & Save the Date Magazine amongst others & I am proud to work with independent local suppliers (see my friends page.)
